THE AJNA CHAKRA SYSTEM
Manas: Sense
registration.
Chitta: Memory.
BUDDHI: Intellect.
Logical and rational thinking. Decision making and discriminative faculty of
the mind.
Ahamkara: The experience
of individual "I am-ness". The universal experience of an individual 'me'.
This 'individuality' is still a generic expression of God's mind. "We (as
individuals) are things that dreams are made of." We are creations
(products) of the Universal Mindstuff / Intelligence / Imagination (hiranyagarbha
/ chittam / maya).
The sense of individuality
that we perceive as 'my self' / 'me' is, in fact, another expression of
diversity and variety within the universal mind of existence. All the
'souls' (the experiences of an individualized 'me') are expressions in God's
One Mind (hiranyagarbha / chittam / maya).
Ahamkara is not our true
identity, it is an illusion of individuality and separation that is a
product of the Universal Mindstuff (hiranyagarbha / chittam / maya). When
you are young, the Ahamkara
is not very potent. It is like a shadow in a glass. Without spiritual
awareness and practice toward these realizations,
the ego can get over-developed and established as our identity. The moment
this little 'i' becomes stronger in you, side by side, various sorts of
fears, various sorts of desires, a host of delusions take firm hold of you.
This is because we forget that our true identity is Satchidananda
(being-consciousness-bliss), consciousness gets identified with this
ahamkara experience, and the dis-ease of egoism arises.
Hiranyagarbha / maya / MAHAT /
CHITTAM / Jagat / Ishvara / Karya-Brahman / PRAKRITI: Universal
intelligence - God's One Universal Mind and Creative Intelligence /
Imagination. The Mindstuff is the primary emanation of the Absolute (Satchidananda
/ Nirvana) and is the sum total of all the possible Universes of names and
forms (nama rupa). Every diverse and various thing that can possibly be is a
creation within God's One Mind. Time, space, thought, matter, energy, and
every possible permutation of Creation is God's Mindstuff.
The source for the
mindstuff is Atman / Satchidananda / Pure Consciousness / the Higher Self.
This mind is born of Atman through His Maya or illusory power. Cosmic mind
is universal mind. Cosmic mind is the sum total of all individual minds.
Cosmic mind is the Hiranyagarbha or Ishvara or Karya-Brahman. Man's mind is
just a fragment of the universal mind. A Raja Yogi becomes one with the
cosmic mind and knows the workings of all minds. The Yogi gets omniscience
through the cosmic mind. The Yogi experiences cosmic consciousness through
the cosmic mind.
This universe is nothing
but a mode of the mind, self-evolved from
Satchidananda (the One
Universal Spirit / Source), the cause of the universe. All the universes
which appear only through Manas are no other than its modes. The mind is
subjectively consciousness and objectively it is this universe. Hence, this
all-pervading world is nothing but consciousness itself.
"Manah-kalpitam Jagat
(Creation of) world is an imagination of the mind" (Yogavasishtha). This
legerdemain of the world is enacted by the mind and the mind alone - "Manomatram
Jagat. What you call world is the mind only." Mind is world. The mind
manifests itself as the external world. This universe is no other than the
mind itself. Like a dream generating another dream in it, the mind, having
no visible form, will generate non-existent visibles. This perishable
universe exists only when the mind exists, but disappears with the absence
of the latter. If the mind, which is the instrument of knowledge, perception
and activity, vanishes, with it disappears this subjective world also.
The whole created emanation is a
combination of six elements, tattwas, of the six chakras Analyse,
realise the illusory nature of all objects and abandon all false objects.
When you begin to analyse, the whole world vanishes and with it the notion,
sound, and objects also. |
