Toxins and Cellulite.
The toxins come into the
body and they go into the fat cells and it creates cellulite.
Cellulite can be defined as
"an infiltration of the subcutaneous fat cells by fluids and toxic wastes."
The body puts the toxins
into the fat cells and keeps these poisons out of the way of the body's
other systems, so that it can deal with them at a later date, for instance,
when the owner decides to fast.
Stress is often a factor in
cellulite, because the body accumulates toxins much more when stressed, and
elimination may become less efficient. In general, men store cellulite in
the heart region and also in the head, leading to premature balding and
heart illness.
For women, cellulite is
stored in the thighs, hips and buttocks. This is why women tend to get more
hip replacements than men, because the toxins go into the bone and they can
lead to such ailments as arthritis.
Hormone Disrupting Chemicals.
One class of hormone
disrupting chemicals are Xeno-oestrogens. These include;
-
Organochlorines.
-
Organophosphates.
-
Pesticides.
-
Fungicides.
-
Dioxins.
This group of chemicals are
also know as hormone disrupters. Hormones are those very small quantities of
chemicals in the body that make the body what it is. They organize the body.
So when one is playing about with estrogen and progesterone, one is directly
effecting those areas of the body that function with growth and development
of the body especially concerning gender and sexuality.
Over a period of time the
body begins to accumulate more and more of these chemicals from the food,
water and air supply and we begin to fall foul of the ailments mentioned
above. Some of us are stronger than others, some can resist the dosage that
is harmful to others, but everybody eventually gets worn down from constant
exposure. In women, the menopause is accelerated due to extreme levels of
estrogen and progesterone, bringing the onset of menopause down to as young
as thirty five.
What causes these chemicals
to enter the body and what can we do about it?
If one is sensitive, we can
feel the effects of these poisons in the body when we have digested our
meals.
The
Simplicity of our Food.
If we are to look after our
diet then we need to be aware of the simplicity of our food. It takes more
energy to digest complicated meals than it does to digest simple ones. Each
one of us has a different level of digestive energy - the energy available
for digesting our meals.
If we cannot digest our
food then it remains in the body as an undigested food mass which compacts
in the intestines. It has been said that the average red bloodied American
male has FIVE pounds of raw hamburger meat compacted in the intestines. We
can help to prevent the build up of an undigested food mass in the
intestines by moving towards a more simple diet.
The best way to do this is
to move away from eating meat. As well as the many diseases, chemicals, and
injected hormones that find their way into the majority of today's meat
produce, by eating meat we might also take in the emotional toxins of the
dying animal.
We all die from toxins in
the end, but as we begin to simplify our diets and take more care of
ourselves then we become more sensitive to the food that we eat.
We begin to know when one
food is good for us and when another food contains many toxins in it. So we
learn to avoid that which is bad for us, even though it tastes good and
arrange our diets so that we are good to our bodies. Otherwise, as one wise
soul put it, we begin to "Dig our graves with our teeth".
Another factor concerning
diet is to try and notice which foods lead us out of balance, make us angry,
uptight, confused or dizzy. This is generally the effect of one or both of
the following factors:
-
The foodstuff is not
right for our natural constitution and therefore rocks our boat. It throws
our doshas out of balance and
imbalances the gunas.
-
The foodstuff may contain
high doses of pesticides and toxins which have an adverse reaction upon
our body systems.
-
Foods that leads us out
of balance, even though the tongue may love them, should be avoided in
future.
