Visuddha: The Throat Centre

Vishuddha or throat Chakra is related to communication and expression. Vishuddi means to purify. This chakra is linked to the thyroid gland. Symbolised by a lotus with sixteen petals. Vishudda is light or pale blue, or turquoise in color. Physically, Vishuddha governs communication, emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security.
